GovAccelerator Program


1) WHAT IS THE GOVACCELERATOR PROGRAM?

Created by Government Contractors Association, the GovAccelerator Program is an intense training and coaching program designed to guide small business owners from laying a foundation in the government market to accessing contracting opportunities.

The Accelerator will utilize a proprietary capture management software to help guide and track the work completed. The coaching sessions will take place each week and will walk the participants through a series of classes with training on certification guidance, registration guidance, learning the contracting lingo, sourcing opportunities, fostering teaming relationships, proposal writing, contract management and many other skills needed to succeed in the government contracting market. An experienced facilitator will manage the classes, hold the participants accountable to work completion and ensure the maximum result possible.

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion, be prepared to pass a CCM Certification, and most importantly, be ready to compete and win government contracts.

2) WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM ENTAIL?

  • 12 months of intensive and comprehensive training and support
  • Proposal Training (The proposal writer will teach you how to write your own proposals, help you develop a template, and review your proposals during the program.)
  • Business coach: You'll be assigned a Certified Capture Manager (CCM) as your coach to help you through the program
  • Mastermind Coaching Sessions: meetings held each week (same time)
  • Training through complete curriculum (900+ steps checklist)
  • Pursue government contracts in teams
  • Fast Track Software.  A government contracting software that provides weekly action items, training models, forms, documents, tracking capabilities and many more features

3) WHY WAS THE GOVACCELERATOR PROGRAM CREATED?

The goal of the program is to help businesses win their first contract.  Based on SBA findings, small businesses comprise 99.7% of all US companies. Ironically, only 22% of all federal spending is awarded to small businesses. The reason for this is simple. Most small companies are not equipped with the tools and resources to thrive in the government market, nor are they equipped with the proper infrastructure and contracting personnel. As such, GCA created the GovAccelerator Program as an affordable and effective approach to help small businesses win contracts. 

(NOTE: GCA has started this program as an initiative of the association to help businesses succeed in the government market. This program is not sanctioned by the SBA or by any government agencies.)

4) WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE PROGRAM?

To be eligible for the GovAccelerator Program, you must apply and get accepted into the program. We do not accept everyone. This is an exclusive program and candidate participants must commit to a 12 month intensive program. And if you do make it into the program, your company will never be the same. It is life changing and the opportunity to work with the best Business Coaches in the industry will transform you business forever. 

5) WHAT TYPE OF COMPANIES ARE ACCEPTED INTO THE PROGRAM?

We’re looking for companies with owners who are diligent, motivated and teachable. We’re looking for people who are responsive and responsible in their business. Finally, we’re looking for small businesses who are frustrated with the contracting process and want a proven strategy to help them win more contracts.

6) WHAT KIND OF COMMITMENT IS REQUIRED?

We require that you commit the appropriate resources to the GovAccelerator Program. We require that companies invest ten hours (or more) each week towards the program. We also require that weekly action items be completed on time.

7) HOW MANY COMPANIES WILL BE IN THE PROGRAM?

We can only accept 20 companies into the GovAccelerator Program for each cycle. By keeping the program small, we cultivate an interactive environment that fosters growth and success.  You’ll have the benefit of live instructions from the business coach and also group interactions from each other.

8) WHAT DOES IT COST TO BE IN THE PROGRAM?

To participate in the program requires an investment of $24,000 for association members. For non-members, the program costs $30,000. These amounts are payable in monthly installments. For businesses that choose to pay in full, there is a considerable discount. Please ask.

9) WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T FINISH THE PROGRAM?

Sometimes, life happens. We understand. So, if an unforeseen situation prevents you from finishing the program, let us know, and we’ll work out a plan.
